Dharan had declared the Shreya Savings and Credit Cooperative, which had been closed for the past six years, as problematic in 2081 BS.However, the Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City has appealed to the central government after it failed to resolve the problem even after declaring it problematic.

Writing a letter to the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City has urged the government to include both ministries in the list of problematic cooperatives and seek justice to the victims and take action against the perpetrators.Dharan has urged the central government to take further action, saying the efforts made at the local level were not enough and the situation has now reached beyond the capacity and control of the municipality.
