Kathmandu. Student organizations have announced a protest in Siraha .The student organizations have announced a protest against the incident of mobile phones and watches confiscated from the SEE and Class 12 examination centers by submerging them in water.
According to the notice issued by the student organization Joint Students’ Organization Organization, the demonstration will be held in front of the District Administration Office at 12 noon on Monday.
The main purpose of the demonstration is to seek compensation for the mobile phones and watches destroyed by submersion in water. The main slogan of thedemonstration will be “Compensate the students, government.”
Prior to this, the District Administration Office, Sira ha, had destroyed around 500 mobile phones and smart watches seized from students during the SEE and Class 12 examinations.These include 7 iPhones, 489 Android phones and 5 smart watches.
In the past, in many places, mobile phones have been confiscated from the examinees for using mobile phones in the examination. However, those mobiles were papered and handed over to the parents. But this time, the police have been criticized from all sides after all the mobile phones and watches were destroyed by submerging them in water.
Even the police have been accused of colluding with the mobile shopkeeper and in the mobile shop’s own idea. The students, who have announced the protest, have demanded an inquiry into the matter.
