Sabik, Shiva and Raj Gurung’s fraud: Millions of people flocked to Qatar, victims say they didn’t get tickets

Kathmandu. The number of people who cheat on the pretext of sending them to foreign employment has increased. Now people who are involved in fraud go to the police office with a complaint

There are not enough job opportunities in the country. Taking advantage of this compulsion, those who run fraudulent business in the name of foreign employment are now active. The number of fraudsters and fraudsters in {{} countries like the US, Canada, UK, UAE, Japan, Korea, Romania, , Croatia, and is increasing day by day. 

Meanwhile, 52-year-old Gopal Bahadur resident of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 of Nawalparasi came in contact with financial concern Damai saying that he was cheated in the name of foreign employment.

According to Gopal, about 8 people including him have been cheated in this way.The deceased have been identified as 29-year-old of Baglung Municipality-2 and 31-year-old Shiva Prasad Pal of Janakpur Municipality-4.However, Gopal claimed that the ‘master’ of the fraud is Raj Kumar Gurung of Chitwan. 

According to him, on the basis of Gurung’s instructions, had transferred the expenses of going to Qatar to Rai and Pal’s account. 

The victims had reached Kathmandu after the Gurung group convinced that the visa had already arrived and the ticket would also arrive.But do you go abroad on the eve of Tihar? I will send it after Tihar,” says Gopal. However, Gopal complained that has not been sent abroad and the money has not been returned.

‘We reached Kathmandu saying that we would fly abroad. But after being told to go to , we returned. “So far, we have neither been able to go abroad nor have we got our money back,”Gopal said. ’ 

After not getting the ticket even after a long time of Tihar, they talked to Gurung again . “We talked to each other, but they said they would give their money back as the visa expired. Gopal said.

Gopal and others filed a complaint with the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and the Department of Foreign Employment after they did not receive the money even after a long time and did not come in contact with the people. 

The department has also issued an arrest warrant on Chaitra 18, 2002 against Subik Rai and Shiva Prasad for cheating on the pretext of sending them to foreign employment.However, they have neither been arrested nor are they in contact so far. Instead, Gopal complained that he was worried that he would lose his money.

Rai, Shiva Prasad Pal and Raj Kumar Gurung could not be contacted when they tried tocontact the phone number given by Gopal.According to the victim, Gurung is in Qatar. The other two are suspected to be in Nepal. The victims have complained that they are now under both financial and mental stress after they were cheated of millions of rupees in the name of foreign employment.
