Prosperity cannot be achieved by writing Rs 103 trillion economy only on paper: Lawmaker Rana

Bidushi Rana, a lawmaker of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP), has questioned the goals and implementation aspects of the proposed 16th plan proposed by the National Planning Commission (NPC). Speaking at a meeting of the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives Finance Committee of the House of Representatives , she asked the question about the ambitious ambitious{{} target of achieving high economic growth by the fiscal year by 2085/86.

Rana has expressed concern about the credibility of the implementation of the plan designed to achieve this goal. She said that the success of the plan will be determined by its effective implementation and not by the goal.

According to lawmaker Rana, although the 16th Plan has made employment and prosperity the main objective, there is no clear blueprint of how many jobs have been created so far and how many jobs will be added by the government and private sector in the coming days.

She said that out of 231 projects in the project pipeline, only 3 projectsare in the industry and mining sector.She also expressed her objection to the fact that only three out of 231 national pride projects have been monitored .

According to him, the actual status of the projects and the implementation aspect of the projects will not be clear due to the limited monitoring of . Also, in the past years, capital expenditure was limited to 60 to 70 percent , what new provisions have been made toincrease the spending capacity this time? MP Rana asked. Although the share of the private sector in the total investment is estimated to be 67.2 percent, no concrete steps have been taken to improve the investment-friendly environment, creditflow and regulation, Rana said.

Rana said that there is a paradoxical situation that the Planning Commission is targeting high economic growth but the NRNA monetary policy of the bank has slowed down investment due to lack of credit and strict provisioning.Lawmaker Rana stressed that there should be effective coordination between the Planning Commission and the National Bank and the government should bring concrete plans to boost the confidence of the private sector. He said that investors are afraid to expand investment in the current situation and unless an environment is created to encourage them, it will be difficult to achieve the goals set by the plan.
