Kathmandu. The government has removed taxes on education and health. Prime Minister Balendra Shah announced on Tuesday that the government has removed the 3 percent tax on education and health.
He said that the provision of 3 per cent tax on private education and health would cause the general public to spend more and face disappointment.
“The 3% parity tax levied in private education and health sector has caused additional expenses and frustration to the general public while implementing it as per the current demand, therefore, after consultation with the Honorable Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, it has been decided not to apply education parity fee and health parity fee for now. “, the Prime Minister said.
