Kathmandu. It has been revealed that the employees of Saptakoshi Development Bank have unauthorized access to the customer’s account. This fact was revealed during an on-site inspection conducted by the Nepal Rastra Bank.

During the overall on-site inspection conducted on the basis of the bank’s unredacted financial statements of 2082 Ashoj 2082, it was found that the bank employees had unauthorized access to the customer’s accounts.

Similarly, the NRB has also found that there has been misappropriation of cash in the vault of the bank. Stating that the bank did not investigate and take action against the culprits even after such serious facts came out, the NRB has concluded that there was a serious weakness in the internal control system of the bank.

The NRB has warned the bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dinesh Kumar Pokharel and the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the bank for failing to make adequate improvements by making necessary amendments in the policies and working procedures of the bank by ascertaining the weaknesses in the internal control system/internal investigation of the institution. ।
