Kathmandu. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has unearthed the details of 4 employees of Citizens Bank who fled after leaking information about to arrest them. They had fled after they came to know that the police were coming to arrest them by forging the equivalency certificates of Tribhuvan University. According to police sources, the absconding employees have been identified as Deepak Kumar Jha, Sushant Sharma, Sunita Bhusal and Chet Bahadur Thapa.
They worked at Tinau Mission Development Bank, which was acquired by Citizens Bank. Later, the bank had sent the bank to Tribhuvan University for equivalence verification on the suspicion that they had taken jobs on the basis of fake certificates during the promotion of their bank. Tribhuvan University had also written to the police after it found that the equivalence certificate issued in the name of its university was fake. After that, 6 people were arrested and 4 are absconding.
Police have started recording statements of those arrested.
The bank claims that the absconding employees have not even come in contact with the bank.
