Kathmandu. Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav, has said that the license of the gas industry should be revoked. Minister Yadav said this while speaking at a meeting of the Industry Committee underthe House of Industry.
She said that the license of all 58 LPG industries should be revoked, saying that the government has ignored the state by creating an artificial shortage of LP gas for cooking.
“It is a matter of shame for the country that people have not been able to get gas even after paying money,” she said, accusing the government and Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) of ignoring the government.
Accusing the government of not cooperating with the government despite repeated instructions, Minister Yadav said that the license of all the 58 gas industries currently operating should be revoked if necessary. She also said that there is a need for the Nepal Oil Corporation to open the gas industry on its own.
Minister Yadav also said that gas cylinders sent to Kathmandu often disappear before they reach the market.
