Kathmandu. The fare of public transport will not be increased during Dashain. The National Federationof Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) has said that the fare of public transport will not increase during Dashain and Tihar if the price of petroleum products is not increased.

Speaking at a discussion organized by the Department of Transport Management targeting the festivals, F NJ President Punya Prasad Sitaula said that the transport fare will not be increased if the government does not increase the price of petroleum products.

Sitaula said that the government should not increase the price of petroleum products in the international market even though the price of petroleum products has increased on the eve of the festivals.

He has also promised to keep the price of public transport unchanged during the festival if the price of petroleum products remains the same. He has also urged the passengers traveling during the festival to buy tickets only from the official counter.
