Kathmandu. Unilever Nepal Limited has donated around Rs 60 million to support the relief and rehabilitation efforts of the flood-affected communities.

Unilever Nepal has contributed Rs 50 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund. In addition, the company has provided 26 tons of daily essential health and hygiene materials worth about Rs 10 million to the flood-affected families.

Keeping in mind the possible increase in the risk of pollution and various infections after floods, the company has provided health and household hygiene products including Lifebuoy, Lux, Sunsilk, Close-up, BHIM and Rin. The company hopes that these items will help the affected families to maintain personal hygiene and keep the environment around the house clean.

Amlan Mukherjee, Managing Director of Unilever Nepal, said, “It is our shared responsibility to stand with the affected communities during this difficult time of disaster.

Stating that Nepal has been showing patience and patience even in the challenging situation, he said that the Company made this contribution to support in the relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Unilever Nepal has been supporting the community through initiatives focused on health, sanitation and social welfare. The company said that the latest support is also aimed at contributing to the welfare of the flood-affected communities and supporting the recovery efforts.
