Bhatbhateni’s Tax Evasion Ruling Upheld by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has upheld the decision of the Department Store to evade taxes. The court has ruled that Bhatbhateni created fake VAT bills to avoid paying taxes to the state.

Previously, the Supreme Court had convicted Dr. Kumar Chudal, Tek Prasad Dhungana, and Bal Krishna Dhakal on charges of tax evasion by creating fake VAT bills at the Bhatbhateni store.

Now, Bhatbhateni is also required to deposit a sum of 2 billion rupees in the state treasury for tax, penalties, and interest.
