Kathmandu. A man has been arrested on the charge of cheating money on the pretext of sending him to Iraq for foreign employment. Police have arrested 55-year-old Sancha Maya Tamang of Sidhupalchowk on the charge of cheating money by lucrative salary.

According to the police, he took Rs 10 lakh from the victim on the pretext of sending her abroad and went out of contact. The victim had filed a complaint alleging that he was cheated of money on the pretext of a good country, good work and attractive salary.

A police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested him from Budhanilkantha on the basis of the complaint.

He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action.
