The Madhesh Province Government has scrapped the Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Consumers Protection Directorate (DICCPD), Janakpurdham.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers, the government today took a decision to this effect, said the government’s spokesperson and Finance Minister Shailendra Prasad Sah.

Similarly, the meeting decided to establish an industry department in Birgunj, Parsa and open a tourism development office each in Lahan in Siraha, Janakpurdham in Dhanusha and Birgunj in Parsa. The establishment of the office acted on the announcement by the government through its policies and programmes for the current fiscal year, 2022/23 to promote tourism.
