The Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF), in collaboration with the ILO-SALE Project, successfully hosted the National Policy Dialogue 2024 at Hotel Himalaya, featuring a distinguished lineup of guests and thought-provoking discussions on the 27th of February.

The chief guest for the event was Mr. Eknarayan Aryal, Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), while Mr. Khom Raj Koirala, also from OPMCM, graced the occasion as the special guest. The welcome remarks were delivered by Mr. Kushal Sundar Shrestha, First Vice President of the NYEF National Governing Council.

The opening session saw Mr. Aabhushan Jyoti Kansakar, NYEF Startup Chair, provide a keynote address and share the best practices of startups. Mr. Kansakar emphasized the pressing demands of young entrepreneurs from the government, urging a serious consideration of their needs.

The event continued with an engaging panel discussion in the second half, featuring prominent figures such as Mr. Dhani Ram Sharma (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance), Mr. Jiblal Bhusal (Joint Secretary, Ministry of Industry Commerce and Supply), Mr. Anjan Shrestha (Senior Vice President FNCCI), Ms. Nivita Pradhan (Second Vice President NYEF National Governing Council), and Mr. Prakash Sharma (National Project Coordinator, ILO). The discussion delved into crucial aspects of fostering collaboration between the government and young entrepreneurs.

Attended by various young entrepreneurs, students, media personnel, and distinguished guests, the event provided a platform for networking and knowledge exchange. The support of partnering organizations added significant value to the dialogue.

The event concluded with Ms. Sahara Joshi, President of NYEF, delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, and emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration to empower the youth in the entrepreneurial landscape.
