Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has provided stationery items to the students of Shree Bal Shiksha Niketan Basic School. As a part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank distributed stationery materials to the students living under the poverty line of the school through its branch office, Waling.

Mr. Shiva Kumar Dhakal, Head of Pokhara Region of the Bank handed over notebooks, pens and stationery materials to the students of Shree Bal Shiksha Niketan Basic School. Various types of educational materials were distributed to more than 100 students from Nursery to Grade 8 in the school.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of School Management Committee, Mr. Bimal Aryal expressed gratitude to the bank for the support and expressed his confidence that this type of stationery material would be a great help in making the learning process of students easy and effective.

He expressed the belief that such programs would boost the morale of the students studying in community schools and would have positive impact in the education sector. Dhakal, head of Pokhara region of the bank, said, “This type of support will make the students more comfortable and motivated in their studies.”

The program was attended by the bank’s staffers, SMC chairperson, school principals, teachers and students. The bank will continue such literacy programs in the days to come in coordination and collaboration with stakeholders.
