Star Hospital joins eAppointments platform enabling online appointment service to its patients

KATHMANDU,

Star Hospital has joined eAppointments platform developed jointly by health-tech company Cogent Health and Nepal’s leading payment service provider eSewa enabling the hospital to offer online appointment service to its patients.

With the introduction of this service patients of Star Hospital as well as general public will now be able to book appointments for OPD consultations at Star from within eSewa mobile wallet app and also make instant payments digitally. The service will help patients to avoid the hassle of being physically present at the hospital and wait on the queue for booking appointments and making the payments of consultation. The service is also expected to also help reduce the associated risks posed by COVID-19 pandemic due to overcrowding at hospitals and healthcare institutions. Ever since the introduction of e-Appointment platform by Cogent and Health and eSewa, the number of hospitals adopting online appointment service is on the rise.
