Fonepay, Nepal’s leading payment network, is pleased to announce the onboarding of Namaste Pay— Nepal’s first government-owned digital wallet—in Fonepay’s interoperable payment ecosystem enabling easy QR payment transactions.
The Chief Executive Officer of Fonepay, Diwas Kumar Sapkota and Chief Executive Officer of Namaste Pay, Prabin Raj Pokharel signed the agreement in an event which was witnessed by representatives of Fonepay and Namastepay and media personnel. With this integration, all Namaste Pay users can instantly make affordable, convenient, and secure QR transactions throughout the Fonepay Network with more than 1.2M merchants across Nepal.
Speaking on the announcement, Diwas Kumar Sapkota, the CEO of Fonepay said, “We are delighted to welcome Namaste Pay into our growing payment ecosystem.
