In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) has seen a profit increase of 9 percent. In the same period of the previous fiscal year, NIFRA earned a net profit of 37 crore 86 lakh rupees, while in the current fiscal year, it has reached 41 crore 38 lakh rupees.
NIFRA’s distributable profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal year has increased due to an increase in interest income and operating profit. The net interest income of NIFRA in the first quarter increased by 6.99 percent to 70 crore 15 lakh rupees, and the total operating income increased by 6.84 percent to 70 crore 65 lakh rupees. The operating profit of NIFRA in the review period has reached 59 crore, 11 lakh rupees, an increase of 9.28 percent.
In addition to NIFRA’s net profit, earnings per share (EPS) have also increased. In this period, NIFRA’s EPS has increased by 65 paisa to reach 7.66 rupees. The net worth per share of NIFRA in the first quarter was 112 rupees and 2 paisa, with a price-earnings ratio of 24.36.
