The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed an immediate investigation into the complaints of victims of cooperatives. After the increase in cases of cooperative fraud and complaints, Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha has directed the concerned authorities to immediately investigate the cooperative fraud complaints.
According to spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai of the Home Ministry, the ministry has been instructed to expedite the process of investigation and action against the cooperatives involved in fraud in various places. The victims had expressed dissatisfaction with the slow investigation and action process on the complaints of fraud against cooperatives.
Therefore, instructions have been given to the police offices and administration to show promptness. Although arrests have been made in cases related to cooperative fraud in various cooperatives, it is evident that the investigation and prosecution have been slow. However, now the Home Ministry has been directed to prioritize the investigation of cooperative fraud complaints.
