Police have arrested a manpower company owner on the charge of cheating more than Rs 1.9 million.

Jayram Poudel, 41, of Panauti municipality-1 in Kavrepalanchowk district, is the owner of Mars Manpower Services Pvt Ltd., said the spokeswoman at the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Superintendent of Police, Rabindra Regmi. Poudel had cheated Rs 1.96 million from two people, including Padam Kumari Shrestha, and again allured them to provide a job at a renowned company and more than Rs 300,000 in salary per month in Europe.

The arrested one has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, for further investigation and action, added Regmi.
