(NIPL) of India to introduce cross-border payment capabilities through Khalti QR. This strategic partnership empowers Indian tourists to seamlessly make transactions in the Nepali market by scanning Khalti QR using their preferred digital wallets, such as Phonepay and BHIM UPI.
This groundbreaking service not only facilitates hassle-free payments for Indian tourists but also opens up new avenues for Nepali merchants, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, to tap into the vast tourism market.
With Khalti’s QR code technology, over 20,000 Nepali merchants can effortlessly accept payments from Indian tourists, enhancing their revenue streams and contributing to overall economic growth.
On the other side, Kathali eliminates the hassle of dealing with currency exchange or carrying physical cash for Indian tourists visiting Nepal. By enabling seamless digital transactions, tourists can bypass the complexities associated with currency conversion and traditional card systems, enhancing their overall travel experience and convenience.
Furthermore, within a few days, Nepali citizens will also be able to make payments in Indian markets by scanning QR codes through their Khalti wallets. Khalti has meticulously laid the groundwork and prepared all the essential infrastructure necessary for this service, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for users and merchants alike.
