Dr. Binod Aatreya has been appointed as the new independent operator of Citizens Bank. The decision to appoint Aatreya as an independent operator was made at the board meeting held on Wednesday.

He will assume the position of operator on Poush 12. This appointment comes after the resignation of the former CEO, Ramesh Raj Aryal, and the company’s secretary, Rajendra Lal Shrestha, confirmed Aatreya’s appointment.

He has over four decades of experience in the banking sector and has worked for various organizations, including Nepal Bank Limited. In recent times, he has been actively involved in companies affiliated with the Vishal Group, serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Emerging Nepal Limited, the Managing Director of Prudential Insurance, and the Managing Director of Surya Life Insurance.
