Position: Regulatory Manager

Job Purpose:
– Regulatory affairs: Protect the company and its shareholders through strategic planning of all Regulatory matters. Manage all technical research, strategic positioning, impact assessment of regulations including but not limited to the review of the Act, renewal fees, spectrum management, licensing, access and interconnection, competition, Digital Nepal / Economy and stakeholder engagement, in view of reducing uncertainly in the regulatory environment in which Ncell operates.
– Compliance: Conceptualize the framework and oversee its implementation to ensure regulatory compliance activities within the company and lead to avoid any penalty or violation of the License Conditions by ensuring continuous proactive management of regulatory risks and compliance matters.
– Government Liaison: As a custodian of external affairs, maintain the relationship with Government agencies, authorities as well as business association and International Organizations to strengthen business relation, leading to strong support for Ncell to conduct its commercial activities.
Your qualification and experience:
– Master’s / Professional Degree in relevant domain or an MBA from a reputable University / Higher Academic Institution with at least 8+ years of relevant working experience (with at least 3 years in management level) in the telecommunication sector.
– Bachelor’s Degree in relevant domain from a reputable University / Higher Academic Institution with at least 10+ years of relevant working experience (with at least 6 years in management level) in the telecommunication sector.
– Candidates with experience in diverse multinational telecom regulatory environment preferred.

2. Position: Unit Head – Strategy and Planning
> No of opening: 1
> Duty Station: Current requirement is in Kathmandu but can be anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements.
Purpose
Lead the Strategic Planning team and assist the CSO in four main functional areas:
> Formulating Annual Business Plan (1+2 years) and Long Range Plan (5 years) with identification of key business drivers in coordination with multi-functional teams.
> Performance monitoring and KPI tracking of MD and CXOs against approved Corporate / MD Scorecard.
> SPOC and Group liaison especially ODS and Group Finance on periodic reporting, Board matters and Annual Business Plan cycle.
> MD Office functions including analysis and pre-screening of business cases / justification papers prior to MD’s approval.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
> Formulating Annual Business Plan (1+2 years) and Long Range Plan (5 years) with identification of key business drivers; and coordination with multi-functional teams.
> Timely initiation and closure of Business Plan (BP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) process.
> Forecasting and submission of the annual budget.
> Analyzing competition data and strategic presentations to the Management.
> Initiatives for the closing of any gaps as against the BP targets.
> Tracking of key initiatives of the functions under MD’s purview.
Education Qualification and Experience
> Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Management or relevant field with minimum 8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in relevant field / Professional Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
> Preferably with managerial experience.
> Prior Consulting experience working with top consulting firms like Deloitte, EY is preferred.
> Global exposure working with various Telcos across SAARC nations, South East Asia and the Middle-east with a customer base of above 10 Million & multiple lines is preferable.
> Exposure to other International markets is a plus.
