Khalti, an emerging digital wallet and payment gateway in Nepal has announced partnership with Food Management and Trading Company to facilitate users to make digital payments for food ordered online.
Customers will have to visit the company’s website nepalfood.gov.np and make a payment after purchasing the required items. The food management and trading company has been selling rice, pulses, nuts, ghee of Dairy Development Corporation, sanitizer, induction cooker and other items. The company has also been delivering within the ring road in Kathmandu Valley by taking orders online.
Started in January 2017, Khalti is an emerging mobile payment solution in Nepal. It provides various utility bill payment services, mobile recharge, DTH recharge, domestic flight booking, movie ticketing, event ticketing, hotel booking, newspaper subscriptions, and payments at online shopping sites among various other digital payments services. Khalti is a licensed Payment Service Provider from Nepal Rastra Bank. Currently, more than a million people regularly use Khalti for various bill payments services.
