Startup & Idea Fest 2022 concluded in Lumbini Province with a resounding success

The second province-level Startup & Idea Fest 2022 and Digital Samvad 3.0, jointly organized by Living with ICT and ICT Foundation Nepal has been concluded with a resounding success in Lumbini Province yesterday on 6th of April, 2022.About 27 startups took part in the fest held at Butwal City Center. Likewise, twenty startups and innovators presented their businesses and ideas during Idea Pitching, Mentoring, and Experience Sharing sessions at the fest.

Five companies were chosen for incubation and mentoring that includes e-Bike, Food on Wages, Shree Sita Baba Multi Tech, Lumbini Stem Education, and MSecurity. MSecurity came at first position among them. Also the company will be recognized in ICT AWARD 2022. Dr. Abhijit Gupta, a tech entrepreneur from Butwal and the MD of Young Minds, and Prakash Neupane, a young startup entrepreneur, provided mentorship to the participating startups in the fest.

In addition, the second province-level samvad, Digital Lumbini Samvad Session has been completed in Lumbini province. Bam Dev Sharma, Deputy Chairman of the Lumbini Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, Hira Bahadur Khatri, Mayor of Devdaha Municipality, Reg Bahadur Bhandari, Butwal’s leading IT personality Durga Prasad Pandey, and Ayush Kasaju, co-founder of Paila Technology, were all present at the fest. Tikaram Sharma, Lumbini’s Minister for Internal Affairs, Law, and Communications, also paid a special visit at Startup Idea & Fest 2022.

Milan Shrestha, Lumbini Province’s Information Technology and E-Governance Specialist, and Sanjib Bhandari, Principal of Nepathya College Lumbini, presented on the status and direction of digitization in the province during the samvad session. Aside from that, the program featured a number of participants from the Lumbini province’s private and public information technology sectors.
