The Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the sale of gold coins (Asarfi) and silver coins (Medallion) starting from Kartik 19 (Sunday). In order to celebrate this year’s Tihar festival, the Rastra Bank will be selling Asarfi and Medallion coins from Kartik 19 to Kartik 24.
According to the information released by the Rastra Bank, this year they will be selling 10 grams, 5 grams, and 2.5 grams of gold coins (Asarfi), along with various rates of cow-inscribed, Ganesh-inscribed, and Gajalakshmi-inscribed silver coins. Currently, the Rastra Bank is distributing medallion coins featuring a picture of a cow.
As per the Rastra Bank, starting Sunday, individuals can purchase a set of gold coins (Asarfi) and a set of silver coins (Medallion) for a higher price. The price of a 10-gram medallion coin is 1,600 rupees, and the price of a 25-gram coin is 4,000 rupees.
